Robert Cho of Kimchi Smoke in Westwood Competes With Bobby Flay

Robert Cho, pitmaster and owner of Kimchi Smoke BBQ in Westwood, squared off on Food Network’s show Beat Bobby Flay in an episode titled ‘Sour With the Sweet’.

Cho first had to compete against another chef, trying to impress Sunny Anderson and chef Josh Capon, using Cowboy Ribeye as an ingredient. After wowing the judges with his Kalbi Ribeye Steak taco with Korean Slaw, Cho faced off with Flay choosing the Monte Cristo sandwich for his showdown.

Cho was unsuccessful in his bid with his outside the box sandwich featuring egg, Taylor ham, fried chicken and more…. maybe next time. For those who want to check out his food, his restaurant Kimchi Smoke BBQ is open Tuesdays thru Sundays in Westwood.
