Opening Alert: Felina, Ridgewood, NJ

Felina, the new restaurant and bar from Chef Anthony Bucco, has opened in Ridgewood after a very long gestation period of speculation, praise and renovation — officially on January 4th for those keeping exact track.

Chef Bucco more recently spent three years working at Crystal Springs Resort (Restaurant Latour) and before that The Ryland Inn. Felina is a partnership Landmark Hospitality, aiming to showcase “authentic farmer driven cuisine” that Bucco has spent years honing as a staunch supporter of New Jersey.

That means a menu (View Menu) of modern Italian focused on local ingredients to showcase what the Garden State has to offer. The beverage program from Christopher James also functions as a showcase of unique ingredients.

Housed in part of the former Fish location — it’s actually behind what was the main dining room of Fish (the entrance to the Felina dining room is actually on Prospect Street), which will now be a catering and event hall. The space was completely remodeled with lots of reclaimed wood, large bar, a semi-private space in the old vault (safety deposit boxes visible), and an eight seat chef’s table in front of the open kitchen. Yes, there’s a rooftop bar…

When is it open? Currently for dinner Tuesdays thru Saturdays with reservations available via OpenTable (Book Now).
