Opening Alert: Seak, Edgewater, NJ

Seak (SouthEast Asian Kitchen), a new restaurant serving cuisine inspired from Thailand and Vietnam, has come to Edgewater Marketplace (next to Sushi Cruise). This is ownership's second restaurant in New Jersey, the first is Lemongrass located in Morris Plains.

With over 15 years of experience working both front and back of house operations in Canada and Jersey, the recipes being served have been passed down from owner James Wang's family - while sourcing many of his ingredients locally.

Green and environmentally sustainable food sources are an integral part of the philosophy at Phorage, with all menu items are made in house, a regular menu along with weekly specials. Their signature dish is a traditional Vietnamese Pho (beef noodle soup) crafted from prime angus beef. The entire cooking process takes a total of 7 hours to complete. The menus (View Menu) also include many gluten-free and vegan options.

"Drawing inspiration from the floating markets of Southeast Asian, we aim to bring that same experience to Edgewater, New Jersey. Our modern however rustic design mixes the old world with the new. Serving garden-fresh inspired cuisine from Thailand and Vietnam, we adhere to a philosophy where we utilize only authentic and the best ingredients. Our main purpose is to provide our guest with a memorable dining experience", says Wang.

They are serving lunch and dinner, including outdoor seating along the Hudson River.
