Opening Alert: Tang Two, Fort Lee, NJ

Tang Two, an outpost of Tang restaurant in Flushing, has opened at the Hudson Lights development in Fort Lee. The 2019 edition of the Michelin Guide named them a “must visit” (Read Details).

Described as Asian fusion — though more like “menu fusion” as the cuisines are more traditional and not mashups — the food covers quite a few: Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Thai. With 20 chefs in the kitchen —  a few dedicated to each type — they make everything on the extremely large menu (View Astoria Menu) onsite.

The 300+ dishes (each represented with a photograph on the physical menu) served tend to be family-style portions, something ownership — the family-run affair all live locally in Palisades Park — felt was lacking when they opened in Queens 5-6 years ago.

A bar is also part of the equation — something they don’t have at their original location – which offers a full selection of beer, wine, and spirits. The restaurant is open seven days a week.
