To help beer lovers navigate the 5200 small and independent craft brewers operating in the country, the Brewers Association website for beer lovers recently polled readers for its annual Great American Beer Bars competition (Read Full List of Winners).

CraftBeer.com readers were asked to nominate their favorite craft beer bar in their state and fill out a short survey about what makes it so great, including atmosphere, staff, beer selection and special events. Over 7,000 votes in total from November 15 – December 31, 2016 were cast.

Cloverleaf Tavern in Caldwell was the winner once again in NJ, with selections from all 50 states and Washington DC, all viewable and sortable at CraftBeer.com. The historic bar has been in business since 1933, offering 24 beers on draft with another 120 by bottle/can.
