This would be quite an interesting change as the municipality hasn’t allowed BYOB since 1979. There are 40 liquor licenses in the town, however only 15 are issued to restaurants. The belief from certain town leaders is that this could help existing businesses from losing business to other towns as well with future developments.

According to the article, state law allows any restaurant to allow customers to bring wine and beer, unless town ordinances prohibit. As far as we know, most other towns in the area allow for it — but let us know if there are any others.
