Santillo’s Elizabeth Has Best Pizza in New Jersey
First We Feast has shared a list of The Best Pizza From Each of the 50 States.
Styles include the white clam pizza in Connecticut, to “idiosyncratic” pies in Iowa, the list is their choices of “pizza worth exploring across the country”.
New Jersey’s contribution to the list is Santillo’s in Elizabeth. Praised for their pan Sicilian – all cooked in a century-old brick coal oven that’s been retrofitted with gas – in this pizzeria that’s attached to owner Al Santillo’s childhood home.
