Most Anticipated Bergen County Restaurant Openings for 2017

So many places, so little time. What’s in store for next year? Lots of restaurants have already been announced ― here are a few we are looking forward to checking out in 2017.

Village Whiskey in Closter
Chef Jose Garces is bringing two of his restaurants ― the other is Distrito ― to the upcoming Closter Plaza revamp. The restaurant’s burger was named one top 30 burgers in the country by Zagat back in October. Village Whiskey made last year’s list.

Halal Guys in Teterboro
The restaurant chain spawned from a NYC food cart serving platters and sandwiches is coming to the new Teterboro Landing. Just make sure any dish ordered has plenty of their famous white sauce.

Delaney Chicken in Paramus
Outpost of Southern-style fried Chicken shop from well-traveled chef Daniel Delaney will open in Garden State Plaza adjacent to Shake Shack. The NYC restaurant has seen an onslaught of good press from the BBQ maven and New Milford native.

Reilly’s Rib Cage in Bergenfield
BBQ seems to be more popular then ever with Fink’s (Suffern), Kimchi Smoke (Westwood), Smoked (Ridgewood), Texas Bobcat BBQ (Ramsey) and JT Straws (Hawthorne) all opening this year. Reilly’s is the latest with owner Daniel Reilly and his Southern Pride smoker.

99 Ranch Market in Hackensack
West coast Asian (Chinese) supermarket chain is heading to the East Coast. Expect the “freshest perishables and highest quality specialty Asian grocery items at incredible prices”.
