Mob Burger, a new “wiseguy”-themed burger shop, has opened in Wood-Ridge. The husband and wife owners both come from Italian families and always had a love for Mob movies – the result is an interrogation room-feeling featuring stainless steel counter tops and tables with exposed brick walls covered with popular mob movie posters.

Inspired by places they’ve eaten at, the menu (View Menu) focuses on burgers cooked to requested temp, crafted from never frozen, 6oz patties made with 80/20 beef and a local butcher, served on homemade challah buns. Self-described as “intense”, the burgers are also named after famous mob movies and characters – like the Fat Tony (burger topped with peanut butter, jelly and sriracha).

Beef isn’t the only type of patty – there’s chicken, lamb, turkey and homemade “veggie” options – homemade quinoa and a portobello mushroom. Also included are stuffed burgers, hot dogs and hand-cut fries. Mob Burger is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
