Zagat Unveils New Rating System

Buried in the blog post about their new iPhone app, rating website (and guidebooks) has adopted a new rating scale rated from 1.0 to 5.0. Confirmed by Eater (via the Wall Street Journal), Zagat claims the new ratings – formerly out of 30, though still covering the areas of ‘Food”, ‘Decor’ and ‘Service’ – are “simplified” and “easy-to-read”. To check out the new ratings, all the details – plus a new logo – are viewable at the Zagat website.
