Cinemex Movie Chain Coming to American Dream Mall

American Dream Cinemex

American Dream developer Triple Five has announced that Cinemex will operate the movie theater at the upcoming East Rutherford mall.

The 1,400 seat complex from the Mexico City-based chain will host 12 duo screens, dine-in cinemas with private viewing rooms, oversize seating and Cinemex X4D – which engages audiences with state of the art surround sound, moving seats, and an environment with wind, rain, snow, fog, and scents that are synchronized to the on-screen action.

Chef Mikel Alonso of Biko – named one of the top 50 restaurants in the world – will curate the dine-in theatre experience while mixologist Mica Rousseau will oversee the cocktail offerings.

“As the sixth largest cinema chain worldwide, our main focus is to bring our revolutionary movie going experience to the U.S. We believe American Dream will create the perfect setting for Cinemex. We could not have chosen a better location to create our flagship presence,” said Jaime Rionda, Cinemex’s Chief Operating Officer. He continued, “We are convinced that this is an important step in our incursion into the U.S. market, and we’re excited to contribute to American Dream’s visitor experience with our innovative movie theater dine-in concept.”
