Prudential Center, the New Jersey Devils and Goya Foods have announced a new partnership that will give the local brand presence and new culinary experience for consumers at the Newark-based arena. Goya is now a sponsor of Prudential Center’s Latin concession locations, including the Ironbound – named after Newark’s largely Hispanic district adjacent to the arena – and the Goya Street Taco Stand. Goya’s executive chef Fernando Desa will work alongside Prudential Center concessionaire Legends Hospitality to create original menu items for Goya concourse concessions and help provide Latin options on premium menus.
This partnership will also include a “Hispanic Heritage Night” and Goya’s involvement in the annual Devils food drive. No specific word on the start date of these food changes (or menus), though the Devils regular season begins at home on Friday, October 9th.
