13th Annual Newport Beach Party Last Week in JC
Jersey City hosted its 13th annual Newport Beach party and food festival last week on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Each year the event takes place at Newport Green park – which is the only urban beach of the Hudson River – with Newport being the largest mixed-use waterfront community in the United States.
Community members gathered for the party – with its unobstructed views of lower Manhattan. Pop-up stations or food stands from local Newport restaurants included Cosi, Komegashi Too, Loradella’s and Raaz. Live music was performed by R&B and soul artist Lee Fields and the Expressions.
