An upcoming 7-11 outlet at 584 Kinderkamack Road in River Edge may not be allowed to operate 24 hours, though it’s owners believed all along they could according to a report by northjersey.com. However a just introduced town ordinance prohibits businesses operating from 11pm-5am along the area of the future convenience store. Two existing potentially affected businesses – River Edge Diner and BP – are being grandfathered in.

Full details about the legal wranglings and posturing are in the article, however it’s seems 7-11 has had its way with 24 hour options with many longtime spots (Fort Lee, Bergenfield) and amazingly even “newer” spots in quiet towns like Tenafly and Norwood. Are there even any non 24 hour spots other than River Vale and Cresskill in Bergen County?
