Just Falafel — the “street food” chain based in the United Arab Emirates — has opened at Garden State Plaza’s. The chain has plans for 30 locations across NJ, including possible Clifton and Fort Lee locations. The restaurant serves globally-inspired Mediterranean falafel (ground chickpea balls) sandwiches, shawarma, salads and more (View Menu). Sandwiches use the falafel (fried or baked) or shawarma as a base, which are then crafted into a locally baked pita bread with a selection of spreads, toppings, and sauces — ingredients are also available in bowl form. The chain is open in the food court next to Taco Bell.
