Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs (View Menu), has opened its first location in Wayne — this is the first of two locations in the town. The new restaurant located at 1055 Hamburg Turnpike, is the seventh for franchise owners John Helm and Matt Catania – who also own Jersey Mike’s locations in Brick (2), Cinnaminson, Moorestown, Cherry Hill, and Marlton.

Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 1,300 restaurants open and under development nationwide. The company was named the #1 fastest growing chain in the Nation’s Restaurant News 2014 Top 100 and continues to win best sub awards in virtually every market it enters. They opened two Bergen county locations in 2014 — first Northvale and then Ramsey.
