Balvenie Dinner at Chakra in Paramus on December 3rd

chakradiningroom

Chakra’s Balvenie single malt scotch pairing on Wednesday December 3 at 6:30pm was designed to ward off the winter chill. The Balvenie dinner will feature Balvenie 12, 14, 17 and 21 year old scotches, paired with a menu by Chef Thomas Ciszak. Balvenie Brand Ambassador Jim Patterson will be on hand to discuss the scotches.

Chef Tom Ciszak designed a four-course menu ($95 exclusive tax & gratuity) to complement the flavors of the scotches. Dinner starts in Scottish style with a Smoked Salmon “Tea Sandwich” paired with Balvenie 12 year DoubleWood. To follow, Thick-cut Bacon with brussels sprouts slaw is accompanied by Balvenie 14 year Caribbean Cask. For the third course, Ciszak plays off the flavor profile of the Balvenie 17 year Peated Cask with Peated Cask-Molasses Lacquered Pork Tenderloin with sweet potato, kabocha squash and coffee. For dessert, he will serve a Goat’s Milk Cheesecake with raisins, figs and honey-rosemary ice cream with Balvenie 21 year PortWood. The full menu is below.
