Kara Kakes, the cake business run by Kara Schnaidt, has opened her bakery in Franklin Lakes. Schnaidt, who is a 2012 Ramapo High grad, is selling cupcakes, custom cakes and more. She’s been making a name for herself since 2013, winning various awards – Kara Kakes was a Best of Bergen 2014 award winner – and expanding into retail shops around Bergen County.
