Project Pie, an assembly-line (think Chipotle) pizza brand, has signed a 9 unit deal with a group in NJ to bring their California chain here sometime in 2015. The chain features pies made with fresh-made dough that are cooked for about 2 minutes in a 800 degree gas oven. (View Menu).

Partner Dom Sgambelluri shared they are excited about bringing the chain to New Jersey, as he thinks even discerning pizza eaters will appreciate the taste and quality of Project Pie has to offer. He also feels their simple pricing structure ― as many toppings as the customer wants for the same price ― will be a boon to those visiting the store.

Project Pie isn’t the only custom pizza brand making its way to the area, Blaze Pizza has a similar concept and is expected to open this year in Paramus and Wayne.
