A new burger restaurant named Bergen Burger has opened in Rutherford. The restaurant is from owner/executive chef Jerome Magno, a French Culinary grad who has worked as a line cook for 10 years and sous chef throughout NY and NJ (Mercer Kitchen, Dillion Prime) over the past 5 years.

The menu (see below) is a selection of burgers, fries and shakes. The burgers weigh 6oz and are made from La Frieda meats, using a combination of brisket, chuck and short rib for the Americano and Mexicano burgers and brisket, chuck, short rib and pork for the Filipino and Italiano burgers. Magno then adds his our own special spices to give the burgers a “unique” flavor. Venice Bakery provide the buns which are delivered daily. Custom sauces are available, though served on the side only. Magno assured us that more burgers are coming, including turkey and veggie options. The fries are all hand cut and battered in a potato starch batter before frying.

The 45 seat restaurant is open 7 days a week. Hours are Monday thru Saturday from 11:00am-10:00pm and Sundays from 4:00pm-10:00pm. Delivery is in the works.
