A new ice cream shop called Ice Cream by Mike has opened in Hackensack. According to owner Michael Elias, farm fresh eggs and cream are used for the base, while the flavors are crafted with ingredients like Valrhona chocolate, pure Tahitian vanilla beans and fresh mint. All of the options are made on premises in small batches.

They offer 8 flavors that will rotate, though they will always offer chocolate and vanilla according to Elias. Flavors like strawberry will cycle in when fresh berries are available ― like right now ― some other current choices include coffee, chocolate pecan and coconut. Then there’s the toppings, which includes standards like peanuts, heath bar, M&M’s, cherries, chocolate syrup, caramel, butterscotch and walnuts.

The shop is open daily, though times are always subject to change.
