For what seemed like a year, an awning in Englewood teased the coming of a restaurant named Boomerang’s, which promised Caribbean and soul food. The wait is over, Dee Radcliffe has opened this second location of Boomerang’s (the other is in Hackensack), bringing what he hopes is a “good plate at a decent price”.

Jerk Chicken and sides

The menu (see below) is a mix of recipes from the Deep South (his grandma’s) and a various dishes from around the Caribbean, in particular Jamaica. This includes food cooked on their outdoor-backyard Jerk Pit, which uses both wood and charcoal. Radcliffe professes that this is what gives him the ability to serve the “best jerk chicken” around.

Boomerang’s is open 7 days for lunch an dinner. They offer dine-in and takeout with local delivery.
