Gourmet Food Truck Festival at Bergen Community on June 1st

Other schools’ “grease trucks” won’t cut it for Bergen Community College – it has to be gourmet.

For the first time, the Paramus Bergen Community College Rotary will bring 20 mobile restaurateurs to the College’s main campus at 400 Paramus Road in Paramus for the “Gourmet Food Truck Festival” Sunday, June 1 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission to the event is free; food offered by the trucks is available for purchase. Trucks scheduled to appear include barbeque, empanada, ice cream and grilled cheese purveyors.

Complementing the food trucks, the Waldwick School of Rock will sponsor an all-day set oflive music. As part of the group’s sponsorship, School of Rock students organized a fundraiser that netted more than $4,500 that will enable 182 children living in Bergen County group homes to attend and eat for free at the event.

Additionally, raffles, giveaways and 20 local craft dealers will offer their wares as part of the festival that will take place rain or shine. Proceeds from all sales will benefit charitable causes supported by the College’s rotary.
