Five Guys Rolling Out Milkshakes Across The Area

five guys shakes

Five Guys Burgers, which historically has been known to lack a shake offering from their menu, is now serving them at a limited number of locations in the NY/NJ area. The menu (see below) offers a vanilla ice cream base with the option of up to 10 different mix-ins. They are available in one size and cost $3.99. Mix-in flavors include (see menu below for full descriptions) Chocolate, Double Stuf Oreo, Salted Caramel, Banana, Peanut Butter, Cherry, Bacon, Malted Milk, Strawberry, and Coffee.

This new product rollout, which is Five Guys first in their 30 year history, was actually started by local franchisee Bill Gellert (Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Sufflok counties). Boozy Burbs was told by one of his district managers that all the strawberry and banana mix-ins are even made in house, using fresh cut  fruit mixed with simple syrup ― while the cherries are imported direct from Italy. They chose to offer customers the ability to customize, which keeps in line with the Five Guys DNA of offering unlimited choice of toppings (in this case mix-ins for the shakes) for their burgers.

So far Boozy Burbs has only been able to confirm that the Nanuet (Rockland County) location is the only local outlet currently offering milkshakes. They will continue to roll these out to new locations and tweak the menu as they go. So for most Bergen County residents, Nanuet might be your only shot for the time being.
