Conveyor belt Japanese food chain Yo! Sushi, has opened its first US location at Garden State Plaza in Paramus, with an ambitious plan for 50 location in the States within the next 5 years — they already operate 80 stores around the globe.

It’s been at least a year since the first news of the arrival, with their selection of over 80 Japanese-inspired items, including delicious soups, rice or noodle-based dishes, salads, tempura available via conveyor belt (kaiten) or hot kitchen items like Chicken Katsu Curry, Salmon Firecracker Rice or Yakisoba noodles (View Full Menu).

Everything is made fresh in-house and meals are charged by how many plates you’ve eaten and by the color of the plate. Plate pricing ranges from $3 to $7 — there’s a legend explaining everything on the extensive menu — and hot dishes are ordered by a server, who can be hailed by pushing the buzzer at the table. Yo! Sushi is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
