Just in time for Valentine’s Day, OpenTable has revealed the 2014 Diners’ Choice Award winners for the Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America. According to this morning’s announcement, Chakra in Paramus and Cafe Matisse in Rutherford were among those winners. Recently Matisse chef/owner Peter Loria launched a la carte dining for the first time, while Chakra (operated by chef Thomas Ciszak) received a 3 and a half star review from the Elisa Ung at The Record in late December.

According to OpenTable, the Diners’ Choice Awards for the Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America are generated from more than 5 million restaurant reviews collected from verified OpenTable diners between January 14, 2013, and January 15, 2014. All restaurants with a minimum number of qualifying reviews were included for consideration. Qualifying restaurants were then sorted according to a score calculated from each restaurant’s average rating in the “romantic” category along with a minimum “overall” rating.
