Caffe Anello and Sogno Coffeehouse Reuniting in Westwood

Tuscan-inspired eatery Caffe Anello and it’s sister operation Sogno Coffeehouse will once again operate under the same roof starting this fall.

With an expected closure of the Sogno/Johnny’s Italian Marketplace later this week, the full move should be compelted sometime later this year once Anello makes the jump. The brand new 3200 square foot facility is located at the corner Madison and Westwood Avenues.

Built specifically for the two businesses, the new space will offer many upgrades to their existing operations including panoramic views of the open kitchen, larger dining room, outdoor dining, and expanded reservation capacity — they’ll even now be open Sundays.

Menu choices for the restaurant will include the classic Anello items (View Menu), though executive chef John Vitale will offer a steakhouse menu on weekends in collaboration with Westwood Prime Meats and butcher Salvatore Petruso. Sundays will be home to “Nonna’s House”, a famly-style Italian menu available for dinner. They’re even working with Andrew’s Liquors next door for a section offering specific wine suggestions and pairings for their menu.

Of course there’s going to be a dedicated cafe area for Sogno, offering their usual array of custom made crepes, pastries, sweets — plus many beverages including plenty using their on-premises roasted coffee beans.

As of now, all signs are pointing to an October opening.
