A First Look at The Record’s First Course

Earlier this week, The Record promised a new column this weekend for those interested in food. Dubbed “First Course”, the column would cover a wide spectrum of food topics.

The inaugural column Tasty news bites for North Jersey’s food lovers, was a compilation of four news items geared towards the food and culinary-inclined. The column treated readers to information about a cake decorating class at A.C. Moore in Wayne, a vegetable cookbook, the owners of Sook Pastry (Ridgewood) discussing the merits of their “mother of the Cronut”, the introduction of Cake Boss baking accessories and the Wild Poppy brand of organic juice drinks hitting Whole Foods shelves this fall.

While it is unclear if future columns will follow the same format of multiple topics or focus on just one, we look forward to seeing what The Record has in store next.
