UPDATE: Vale Bar & Grill River Vale has opened

Keep your eyes peeled during mid-September for the opening of Vale Bar & Grill, the latest addition to Rivervale, NJ’s dining scene. According to owner Sal Prifitera, this casual, American-style bar and restaurant will serve as a community gathering place with something for every family member on the menu. With its stone, brick, and reclaimed wood interior, double-sided fireplace, and artwork reflecting the 18th and 19th century, Vale Bar & Grill’s quaint atmosphere will bring out the historic feel of River Vale.

Those who are looking for a complete sit-down dining experience can be seated in the dining room (which is separate from the bar) and choose from the extensive menu put together by Chef Michael Montero, who attended the Hofmann Culinary School in Barcelona and formerly cooked for the Prince of Spain. If you’re just looking to grab a quick bite and some drinks, you can hang out near the bar, which will have a separate menu from the dining room and will offer a selection of over 30 beers (16 of them on tap), 50 different types of wine, and a list of specialty cocktails.
