Osso Buco Italian Grill is the newest restaurant to open in Hillsdale, NJ. The restaurant was previously Cafe Capri and has been completely remodeled. The owners Randy and Kathy Pioli and Sam Kaoutarani are from the three Zagat rated Pasta Cucinas in Rockland County, NY for 20 years (first New City, then Suffern and Stony Point).

The restaurant’s specialty Osso Buco is described as, “Our Famous Butcher Cut Osso Buco called a veal shank. It comes from the leg, together the meat and bone are cut into portions. It’s braised and slowly cooked for 3 hours in a cabernet reduction sauce. The meat becomes tender and delicate. Also, in the center of the bone is the marrow, a tasty, spongy meat spread.” Otherwise, its a casual italian menu features Italian dinner classics like Chicken and Veal Parmigiana, Penne Vodka and Chicken Scarpariello. Plus Short Ribs and the Rigatoni Cucina (rigatoni pasta prepared in a lemon and garlic sauce with shrimp, arugula, tomatoes and marscapone). A family style salad and brick oven bread is included with every meal.

Osso Buco Grill offers a full bar, takeout and catering coming soon on the weekends. They also take reservations for parties of 5 or more, and on the weekends private catering packages are available before dinner hours. This family owned and operated restaurant is seving Lunch and Early Dinner are served Monday thru Thursday with Dinner 7 days a week.
