Table to Table, the Bergen-based charity that picks up and delivers unused and surplus food to local soup kitchens, homeless shelters and centers that serve meals to the hungry, hosted their first ever Burger Blast on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013. The event brought together 30 area restaurants who were challenged to create a special “burger” for the event.

A number of wine vendors and desserts (including Carlo’s Bakery of Cake Boss fame) were on hand as well. The staff at Table to Table spent many hours organizing the event for their noble cause, but since this is a food blog the following is only burger/slider shots from the event:
