The Record’s Second Helpings blog is reporting that french fry chain French Fry Heaven is making it’s way up to NJ with an outlet at Garden State Plaza planned first. The chain already has three outlets in Florida and according to their website, shops are opening up in New York, Massachusetts, Louisiana and Texas as well.

The menu consists of “Angels” (aka regular potato fries) and “Saints” (aka sweet potato fries) all available with a large variety (we counted 30+) toppings, sauces, flavorings and salts. The add-ons range from the more traditional ketchup, ranch, bbq sauce, blue cheese… to the more exotic flavors like poutine, curry & peanut butter (that’s one flavor), Etheral sea salts (black truffle, lime fresco) and more. This concept appears to be a well-packaged family-friendly version of Pomme Frites, a similar “french-fry” shop on 2nd Avenue in the East Village.

There are no specifics on an opening date, but we’ll post again once we have some official word.
