Starting yesterday, Biddy O’Malley’s launched their local artisanal cheese plates featuring cheese from Valley Shepherd Creamery in Long Valley, NJ. Valley Shepherd rears all their own livestock and have their own cave for aging, so the entire process takes place on their farm. The plates will be accompanied by fresh fruit, homemade apricot chutney, lemon pepper and thyme infused honey and a variety of spiced candied nuts.
Biddy O’Malley’s will feature a rotating selection of seasonal cheeses the first three being: Valley Thunder, a classic farmstead Cheddar that is aged 10 months; Shepherd’s Basket, which is aged 5 months and is a sheep’s milk cheese; and Crema De Blue, which is a rich unctuous blue and placed second overall at the American Cheese Society’s 2012 Judging & Competition.
