Much has been written (here and here and here) about Zinburger when it first appeared in nearby Clifton 2+ years ago. The “wine and burger bar” concept took North Jersey by storm and by the looks of their new location at Garden State Plaza, expect that weather pattern to continue. Not to mention the overall burger craze in general, which appears to show no signs of waning.

The restaurant is located on the lower level across from California Pizza Kitchen in the space that used to house Napa Valley Grille. The menu focuses on gourmet burgers, sides, salads, shakes, wine and crafted cocktails. View Zinburger Menu (PDF)

Breakfast Burger (with Fried Egg, Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Bacon, Avocado, American Cheese & Mayo)

The space has been completely renovated with windows that open out into the mall. A long counter top runs along the exterior walls with tables and booths rounding out the rest of the space.

Onion Rings with BBQ Sauce

The burger menu is comprised of composed burger choices with chicken, tuna and veggie options as well. A special burger of the week is always featured as is a shake of the month. The side offerings include amongst others truffle fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings and zucchini fries.

The shakes are available in many varieties with two pie flavors (“We only do two flavors cause we want to do them great”) of chocolate cream and banana cream. In keeping with the “Zin” (short for Zinfandel) in Zinburger, a list of 20+ wines are served by the glass.
