TENAFLY: Build Your Yogurt officially opened on Friday, November 23rd (Black Friday). Their grand opening will be Wednesday, December 5th featuring 20% off any cup of yogurt.

CARLSTADT: The Grasshopper Also is under new ownership/management and is now the Eastside Ale House.

EMERSON: Gregory T’s Family Grill & Tavern on Kinderkamack Road has closed.

LONG ISLAND: Many participating restaurants in fall Long Island Restaurant Week have decided to extend their offerings another week till November 18th.

NORWOOD: To celebrate their 1 year anniversary, Tutti Giorni is having specials every night from Sunday November 11th thru Thursday, November 15th.

ENGLEWOOD: On Wednesday, November 14th there will be a wine tasting at Jerry’s Gourmet featuring wines from their extensive collection. RSVP required by November 11th.

HO-HO-KUS: The Ho-Ho-Kus Inn is hosting a wine tasting on November 14th with Stags Leap Wine Cellars paired with a five course meal.

HOBOKEN: The Jersey Booze Experiment is happening on November 11th at Maxwell’s with local amateur chefs competing for the title (The event is looking for competitors with info available at the site to sign up). Update: Event has been postponed till December 2nd.

NORTHVALE: A Beaujolais Nouveau Dinner & Tasting is being hosted at Madeleine’s Petit Paris on November 18th at 5pm.

MONTVALE: There will be a Beer and Cigar Dinner at The Porter House with five courses paired with beer from Ommegang Brewery and two cigars on November 14th from 7-10pm.

CLOSTER: Harvest Bistro is hosting a Uinta Brewing Beer Dinner with guest speaker Susan Green of the Global Brewers Guild on November 13th at 7pm.

CLOSTER: The location formerly occupying Assembly East Hill has added signage with the name Ondine’s. This is particularly significant because the space was also called Ondine’s prior to it being Assembly East Hill.

BOGOTA: Fabrizia Lanza from Anna Tasca Lanza Cooking School in Sicily is hosting a 4 course dinner at La Famiglia Ristorante on November 11th and will also be signing copies of her new book.

PARAMUS: Bucu Burger will be hosting their 1st annual burger eating contest sometime in the near future. Date and info to follow shortly.

CRESSKILL: Griffin’s Restaurant is having their 2nd Annual Harvest Dinner featuring six courses paired with whiskeys of the world on November 8th at 7pm.

ENGLEWOOD: Modani Kitches is hosting a wine tasting event to benefit Gilda’s Club of North Jersey on November 8t from 6-9pm.

HILLSDALE: Specturm for the Living, a not-for-profit organization that helps adults with developmental disabilities, is hosting a Fundraising Night at Wendy’s of Hillsdale on Tuesday, November 6th from 5PM to 8PM

RIVER EDGE:  Sanducci’s Trattoria in River Edge will host a Wine Tasting Dinner on November 7th at 7:00pm

NANUET: A “craft beer shoppe and tasting room” (that funded through Kickstarter) named Growler and Gill has opened in on Route 59.

PARAMUS: A five course Fall food and wine pairing dinner featuring wines from the Clos Du Val winery will be held at Biagio’s on November 1st  from 6:30-9:30pm.

LONG ISLAND: The annual fall iteration of Long Island’s Restaurant Week will be held this year from November 4th-11th with three course prix-fixs dinners being offered for $24.95.

WHITE PLAINS: The annual Chocolate World Expo featuring chocolate vendors from all over the country is on November 4th at the Westchester County Expo Center.

HUDSON VALLEY: The annual happening of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week will be held from November 5th through November 18th with 3 course prix fixe lunch and dinner specials.

WESTWOOD: Bat Barry’s, a new restaurant next to the movie theater, has gotten the Starter’s treatment from The Bergen Record.
